Mongolia joins as the 135^th member of the Multilateral Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters. The Convention creates an opportunity for its members to exchange information for tax purposes with over 130 countries, and the participating countries commit to the international standards of safeguarding the confidentiality of the information exchanged. Tax havens, offshore regions, and foreign banks are required to share their information with the participating countries under the Convention.
